Cured zombie villagers disappearing. (RESOLVED) Playing on my server on 1.8.3, I have cured 3 villagers but all of them have instantly disappeared as soon as they were cured. I made my own village (not near any others), I have been trapping them in a 3 block high house, hitting them with a potion of weakness and golden apple.. Playing Bedrock edition on iPad. I set up my base about 200 blocks from a village. When I first visited, there were a handful of villagers. When I returned many game-days later, the village was deserted. As the village was generated with a river running through it, I thought the villagers may have drowned or been attacked by drowned zombies. Villagers aren't supposed to despawn. That being said there are bugs on bedrock that can make them vanish. some have been fixed, but there are still more. From my understanding at least one has something to do with being able to pathfind over chunk borders into unloaded chunks. Bedrock bugs that make villagers vanish isn't despawning. Villagers don’t despawn, but if you cured a zombie villager you have to wait until they actually turn into a villager before leaving the area, otherwise they may despawn. ravenclaw1991. • 6 yr. ago. He was already cured. I had to put him into a minecart and push him into the cellar that way after he was cured. Aternos shuts down when no one is online. Other than that, axolotls despawn unless they're name tagged or have been in a bucket at least once. You should also be able to get a spawn egg with pre-set no-despawn NBT by using a command, though. Oh ok, I'll look into the command. A warden is an extremely powerful but easily avoidable hostile mob summoned by sculk shriekers in the deep dark biome. It attacks by swinging its arms downward, dealing the strongest melee damage of all mobs, and can also release a sonic boom attack that immediately strikes the target, piercing through obstacles and deals damage that cannot be reduced except by the Resistance effect. Feb 24, 2022. #3. they aren’t despawning they’re falling through the floor and dying to fall damage/the void. will add tips in a second. epic pro tips: Don’t let villagers near doors. Don’t let villagers near trapdoors. Don’t let villagers near really any non full block. Don’t let villagers have more than 1 block of floor space.
1 Answer. The only NBT-tag that affects mob despawning is the PersistenceRequired -tag, a custom name does NOT change this behaviour. This command summons a renamed zombie that will not despawn: Changing the name of a zombie with a name tag will change both the name and set the PersistenceRequired -tag to 1. If a zombie picks up an item, then

Teleporting them to the void to either kill or force them to despawn, which avoids item drops all over the place (as the items fall in the void to be deleted): /tp @e[type=Zombie,tag=ZombieVillager] ~ -64 ~ You can also use the /kill command to speed up the dying process: /kill @e[type=Zombie,tag=ZombieVillager]
